create a 'mileage' field so that I can record my mileage allowance for each journey / day worked.
This will be particularly useful when I'm recording my voluntary hours as I don't receive hourly pay, however I do receive a mileage allowance so it would be a great way of me looking at my voluntary hours worked and the subsequent mileage allowance claimed.

Lunch breaks?
Currently HoursTracker only allows from start to finish but what if you took a break in between? Lunch break?

adding currency different than pound would be nice

Show a Job Paid
Perhaps this exists and I have not seen how to do it. I would like to have a place where we can flag an entry paid inside a job. Also have that flag be visible in the csv export from the website.
The purpose for me, would allow me to continue to use my automated summary reports and generated invoices from that exported data. If I can get a 'paid' flag generated from the source csv, I could set a condition in the imports to ignore those entries, always keeping my summary and invoices current.

Allow user to specify localization preference
As an HoursTrackerCloud.com user, I would like the ability to specify my localization preference. If I don't specify one, it should default to my browser's setting (current behavior). I would make this selection in a user settings/preferences page when logged in.

Having a check box on an entry for what ever the user wants - in my case - I have transferred it to my invoicing system.
I normally use a task management system until I took the leap and started using this for 2 days now. GREAT TOOL (Can't believe how ingenious this is). If you add a check box, then it would grey (preferable) or hide checked items so I know i have entered them into my invoice database which I have made. This could be quickbooks for other people. This way I can enter everything by day and know i have taken care of everything, then my invoice tool organizes in a different way and I can use Quickbooks to invoice from there. Adding…

Make printing a full page of data from the web page possible!
Using a Mac running OS version 10.6.8, I can't seem to get all of the info from one of my jobs to be printable. All that I get is a truncated copy with incomplete info. :>(

Consolidate time sheets of multiple users when working on same project
I run a small consulting company and have used hourstracker for a couple of years. It is a great app and I'm enjoying the new tagging feature.
I have a number of consultants working with me and currently need to align everyone's time sheets manually to do billing. I would sign us all up for hourstrackercloud in a heartbeat if I could get a unified report from all the consultants. Each consultant would keep their own hours and the cloud would enable them to be added together to create one report.

I get paid £15 per hour the first 16 hours a week the £12.50 for any hours after that

Lump Sum Payment
I would like the ability to assign a lump sum payment to a job and as I clock in and out would be able to track my average rate per hour. Example: I receive payment of $1,000 to do a project. After the project is completed I would like to know, based upon my time on the project, how much I made per hour.

Add Alerts
The ability to add alerts would be helpful. For instance, if I'm tracking time spent doing an activity, it would be helpful if an alert popped up advising me that I have reach a certain amount of hours. Ie. Upon reaching 150 hours the app will alert me that I have reached this threshold. These alerts could be automatic or be set manually.

Create an iCal subscription for all my entries
I plan my schedule using iCal and record my actual actions using HoursTracker. In order to easily compare planing vs. doing, create a way in which I can view all my entries in iCal. Thanks!!

Have another field for employee name
In larger businesses it is not feasible to provide every employee with an iphone. So it would be great if this app had the ability for a supervisor to manage the times of lower level employees. Each supervisor would have a smart phone and clock other employees on an off each job.
This could be done by adding one extra field - employee name
It would also require automatic syncing of data as others have suggested so any supervisor had the ability clock in/out any employee.

Add a web interface
Having a web interface that syncs data between all devices would be a very convenient way to create time entries. It would make typing long descriptions of tasks performed a breeze. It could also be used to replace traditional time clocks for companies. Another benefit is that multiple employees working on the same project could maintain hours worked in a single location to give a better watch of total man hours.

Though we won’t act on every single suggestion that gets made here, we certainly recognize the value that this and several other top features would bring to our users and are very much interested in making them happen. Create a webAPI
So others could create widgets, or even internet connected devices (arduino) that could handle clocking in/out. Or ultimately replace expensive and antiquated physical time clocks. My wife would thank me for this.

Add a modified week view.
One week is showed as 7 elongated rectangles, graduated by hour (major) and quarter hour (minor) along its height, and hours worked per job are represented by rectangles of a particular color. The day starts at the top at a user specified time (default 6:00am) and graduated past midnight of that day and onto 5:45 of the next day. As hours are recorded, they are plotted as rectangles from clock in to clock out time. Add a modified calendar view
Show a calendar (7 square by 5 square grid, sunday to saturday) and show total worked hours per day, and total hours per day BY JOB. i.e. each job is a different color, but the hours showed on calendar view is the total hours worked at that job.
