In the app, allow for client based time tracking instead of job based tracking.
I am a consultant and I bill per client. I visit anywhere from 1 to 6 clients every day and work on lots of items. I bill for my time then type in the details of what I did. It is not project based most of the time so simply being able to select client and start the clock when I arrive would be great. This coincides with the online editing of client billable details.

We've used HT since 2010 and find it very user friendly. We've created 'PROCEDURES' and publish them so all staff follow the same system of data entry. Over the years, we've revised our 'PROCEDURES' a few times, as we become more familiar with HT. One of the first data input parameter we established was that Jobs/Projects are entered at numbers which helps in sorting. The Job Numbers are chronologically sequential (i.e. for 2013 they are 1301, 1302, 1303, ... etc.) We have repeat clients and perform multiple jobs for the same client. Each job gets a unique number. This method easily could be used to assign a unique number to a specific client, too. We love the flexibility of HT. (MJM)

Why do you not just set up each client as a "job"? It seems that that should take care of your issue.
